Lita Rossana Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist from England. She played the guitar for the rocking, all-girl ensemble The Runaways in the 1970s. The punk-rock sound and their wacky songs made them famous throughout the world of rock. The band was not able to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge international recognition, notably in Japan. Ford embarked on a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment of her group in 1979. She began taking voice lessons and soon released her first album , 'Dancin' On the Edge'. Ford was absent from the world of music for some months after the albums failed to gain much popularity. Her acclaimed album, "Lita", released in 1988 saw her come back with an explosion. Kiss Me Deadly was her biggest hit, as were the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately, her success was not long-lasting as she disappeared for a few years. Then she returned after the release of her album "Black" in 1995 as well as 'Wicked Wonderland' fifteen years after. The album she released in 2016 called 'Time Capsule. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
